The Nissan Note proves that good things indeed come in small packaging. Although from the outside it may look a bit cosy, it has a wonderfully spacious interior to be filled with all sorts of arrangements. There is comfortable legroom for all passengers- even those in the back- and plenty of headroom for even the tallest of people. The surprisingly large boot can house 437 litres, and this space is tripled if you fold down the back seats, allowing almost ridiculous amounts of storage.
You will be hard pressed to run out of room in this car.Under the bonnet, you can choose from a range of slick engines which allow for a smooth, relaxing drive, such as the Renault-sourced 1.5-lite engine, or the 1.5 dCi diesel which both give a great driving experience. The Note is low to the ground and has a lengthy wheelbase giving it great handling on the road, ideal in those slippery conditions.
Think of this car as the Micra’s big sister- improved in so many ways, yet so familiar for loyal Nissan buyers. It comes in three specification levels: Visia, Acenta and the Tekna. The Visia houses front electric windows, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel and four airbags for added safety. If you upgrade to the Acenta, you get rear electric windows, curtain airbags and a stylish leather padded steering wheel. The top-of-the-range Note is the Tekna. It comes with a sports steering wheel, part-covered leather seats and Nissan’s brand new state of the art Connect navigation and entertainment system.
The bluetooth device can synchronise music and satellite navigation at the touch of a button giving you ultimate control of your Note driving experience. It is perfect for all weather conditions with rain sensing wipers, automatic lighting and ESP steering. In my opinion, the Tekna version is a steal from only £13,995.
The Nissan Note is a superb car that is much more than meets the eye. When you step into the unreal interior and feel first hand the luxury inside, you’ll fall in love with Nissan all over again. This car is more than a Note, it’s a whole symphony. However, make sure you check around a large number of used Car Dealers for your model, as you really need to hunt out the best bargains when it comes to buying from the used market.
