On the surface the 2010 Lincoln MKZ is sporty and elegant. The muscular design and sleek lines hint that this is no ordinary sedan. Designed for driving enthusiasts who appreciate luxury but not sticker shock, this vehicle offers so much for so little. Under the hood the MKZ has a 3.5L Duratec V-6 engine, finely tuned suspension and 6-Speed SelectShift Automatic (TM) transmission and 263 horsepower. The interior is remarkably plush. Olive Ash Wood trim, usually reserved for Bentleys and Bridge of Weir Leather, found in Aston Martins, are standard features. Both the driver and passenger seats are climate controlled with three personal settings. The new MKZ also offers peace of mind. Dual stage driver and front passenger airbags as well as front seat side impact airbags make this sedan incredibly safe. In fact, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2010 Lincoln MKZ the highest possible five star rating.
Lincoln has further enhanced the MKZ with innovative technology. Convenient features such as the keyless entry keypad, rain sensing wipers and the SYNC®, voice activated system which links to contacts, information, phone, music and 911 Assist(TM) take the worry and hassle out of driving. A Reverse Sensing System sounds an audible alert if the vehicle approaches objects too closely. The Blind Spot Information System triggers a light emitting diode in the side mirror when it detects a vehicle in the blind spot. Adaptive HID Headlamps turn as the wheel is turned to make the road visible around curves. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive senses when wheel slippage is anticipated and transfers power to the wheels with the most traction.
This new Lincoln is set apart from the mid-size sedan crowd. It will compete with Infiniti, Lexus and Cadillac but have the added advantage of a starting price of around $35,000
